Someone keeps calling me from this number and asking weird questions and when I call them back it's says the number is no longer in service.

Several calls from this number and not known to me

This number is from Empire Asset for a payday one loan. They threatened to file legal criminal action against me for a debt that is five years old. They were very frightening and gave me two hours to come up with it in full or they would file criminal charges under intent to defraud. This was after I called this number back after a strange woman who called herself Megan, said she would be coming to my home to serve papers after the weekend and I had to be there. I have never heard of this before, as I'm pretty sure its the process server's job to find you, not you to wait for them. Also, I have to work, so I can't be home. I can't find any legal filings in the local court systems. I suspect, rather than trying to legally and ethically collect the debt through civil filings (wage garnishment), they are trying to terrify me into pay an old debt.

580 is the area code for western Oklahoma, but when the call is answered the robot asks "press 1 for California and press 2 for non-California. WTF?
