got a call from this number today. no messagecaller has to be from upstate ny. syrcuse area?

This came up up as Rashaun Jordan on caller ID a few days ago but today I got a call from 901 881-5772 from a black woman, " Keisha Smith" who asked my name and to "verify if I was the right person, were the last 4 numbers of my ssn ----". I said no and hung up. She claimed to be from a place called "vision...???" When I tried to call the number back I was told it wasnt in service.

Not sure if you're a shill or just incredibly stupid and uninformed -- or all of the above. A process server (a REAL one anyway) doesn't call ahead, as this would be the best way to ensure that there's nobody there to take the service. Calling and claiming to be a process server is a common technique used in illegal collection/extortion scams, the sole purpose of which is to imtimidate the victim into making a payment over the phone and thus allowing their identity as well as their money to be stolen. Kindly keep your misinformation to yourself when you don't know what you're talking about.
