Got a text asking for us to call back about a student loan with Sallie Mae. This is NOT the phone number listed on Sallie Mae's website, is this a scam? When I tried to call it back, a machine answered that said the call may be recorded and immediately put me on hold. Never said the company name that I was calling. The man who answered the phone identified himself as Kevin, but never said the companies name, either. I asked him who he was with and he said "did you or someone you know use this phone number to get a student loan with Sallie Mae?" Still didn't say he was with Sallie Mae, so I hung up.
