Crazy mentally VB challenged

Got only a voicemail from this number with no actual message. Voicemail gave me phone number that called, time and date of call, and then there was no actual message. I've been with my phone at the time the voicemail said it was received. My phone NEVER rang. I have a new phone and looked at my call log. This number didn't even show up as actually calling my phone. No log of it whatsoever. It's like it totally bypassed my phone and went straight to voicemail. How does it do this? Wasted my minutes by calling my voicemail for no reason. Am on a cheap plan and they charge me minutes for calling my own voicemail, which I don't mind, I don't use it that much, but still. Makes me angry.
