This was a telemarketer, or otherwise unwelcome person calling.

ring is at 11:15PM on sunday evening. these people stated these people were with 'National Bank of Dallas' & that my bank account is suspended cos of a suspicious transaction.

Got these calls. Don't know what they were for. But showed up on my bill.

keep on receiving SMS with this or a variation of this no. telling us of a unauthorised login to our Facebook account, this was a real pain.

Same ComEd discount quoted by Gary Hites just below. When I was asked for my account number, I said I didn’t have it and asked if there was a number I could call back to follow up. At that point, “Michael” told me to call 888–4 43–0003. I was told there was no way to take care of this online. I do not plan to call.
