I also received a letter/check for $3,579 from Euro-American Publishing House. It is definitely a scam, but they sure went to a lot of lengths to make the check look legitimate--I looked up the bank and it does exist and their routing number is correctly listed on the check. The sites I checked online advised to take the envelope and all contents to my local post office.
