Millions Call

in Feb 2013 an organization calling itself Consortium Manufacturers is trying to tell a senior citizen friend of mine that they owe for back taxes. They call from 347 441 3053. I called, using *67 to block my name, and an answering machine with a male voice from India answered, but used a different company name.

Caller Leaves a message. As you retrieve the message a 3-second pause is added and occurs and a series of 3 touch-tone sounds prompts Your phone to auto-dial the callers number. Which they then use to confirm a call originating from Your phone to them. A sleazy way to make it appear that You have actually called them. Also able, through 3rd party apps to clone a number and scan your contact list, which is illegal and in violation of FCC Regulations.

It was a text, actually.offering to 'tip' me well. I have no idea who this Will person is.

Talked to this person four times. Threaten me with arrest if I did not send 987.69 by green dot card by pay pal. My lawyer will be looking into this for me.

Caller did not talk when I answered. I called back, they touch-toned and hung up, I called back again, they let it ring and finally heard a busy signal.
