Criminal scammer

My identity and bank account info was hacked. One year later, this "Mr. Williams" called my 80 year old mother and convinced her to pay a debt I supposedly owed [no company name or account number given!!!]. He coerced her into giving up her credit card # and charged her $1357. No debt verification letter, receipt, nothing. Now I have to hire an attorney and prove to her that this was a SCAM!!!

Firsttime person has called my number.

When I answer this # there is a recording asking me if I would like them to add my name to the DO NOT CALL List and if I do I should enter my phone #. I did that and they are still calling me 4x daily, including Sunday!

I had a break up with a girlfriend and she wouldn't leave me alone so I got a restraining order.  This COULD be her trying to contact me and deny it was her. So before I call it back I wanted to know who it was.

I keep getting calls from this number but no message ever gets left. I'm assuming it's spam at this point.

was there a single thing you can do to make sure these people cannot be refunded soon as you already sent out exactly what you were giving them?
