I received a call from this number stating my social security number had been compromised.

Sweepstakes scam (?) - This number displayed on caller ID and almost immediately hung up. Within a few seconds another call came in from "unknown" and the person on the other line finally told me she is from "Reader's Service Sweepstakes" and how lucky I was to have made it into their sweepstakes and now had a gold watch ready to come my way. All I had to do was say tell them that I had magazine subscriptions, and a VISA, MC, etc. - oh, and which one did I still have? She went on to ask about my address and since we have moved that's all I told her and pushed her further. As I pushed, she congratulated me and quickly hung up. Darn - she didn't get my address so I can get my new gold watch. Oh, and it has a diamond in it too, apparently........scam alert.
