Calls daily, no message left, annoying

Automated call. "Is this ________ (someone I've never heard of) Press 1, if not, press 2." I pressed 2. "Is ________ available to come to the phone? Press 1 for yes, if not, press 2". I pressed 2 and they hung up. I was advised not to press 1 confirming I was who they were calling for, or I would be confirming liability for whatever they are calling for. I'm blocking the number today through verizon.
