Girl called me to save on taxes for my company. She hesitated quite a bit when I asked her questions about the information she wanted from me. Said she could save me an average of 30% on my tax bill. She wanted to send out a representative to look at my payroll. I could hear a guy coaching her in the background telling her what to say.

This telephone was a telemarketer asking to sell house refinancing. we informed them to please put me on the national no ring directory & she did & put the phone down.

We have had the same calls. In this case is was a Martin Thomas with foreign accent. They stated they are located in Edmonton, and gave a phone number of 1-315-633-3110. Told him we are not interested and ended the call. He called back again and told them to remove our number, and if they ever call back we would take legal action. He stated there is nothing we can do and refused to confirm they will. It contact us again. I dialed their number and no one answers and no answering machine. For sure a scam, they can't link IP address with home phone numbers, this is protected by law under privacy act.
