Calling my cell phone. No message

called this number back after receiving a call that consisted of a few noises (sounded like the dell tones). would not let me call the number back from cell it said 'check the number again' so i dialed from my landline and recording said 'thanks for calling back, if youd like to be removed from our list press 1' i pressed one and the line went dead. i called back from the landline to receive another 'your call cant be completed as dialed' message.
