who rings me?

someone called me at 7:53 pm on jan 21 2009 and claimed to have a collect call from the harris county *. when i acepted charges to see who it was i didnt recognize the name. some one claiming to be an officer at the * said that i needed to dial *72 to get a refund. *72 forwarded my calls to them until the next morning when i called the phone company. beware of this scam. i dont see what they want my calls forwarded to them for, but be careful.

Sent me a check for $6998.30, LOOKS LEGIT TOO. i KNOW IT HAS TO BE A SCAM BUT DAMNED IF i CAN FIGURE OUT HOW.
